Today I have swatches of another of the new Sally Hansen Color Foils, this one is called Leaden Lilac…

sally hansen color foil leaden lilac-001sally hansen color foil leaden lilac-002sally hansen color foil leaden lilacLeaden Lilac is a blue toned purple chrome. I’m not sure how or why but this color applied so much better/easier than the previous colors I reviewed, it was slightly thicker (in a good way) and was very easy to work with. The color was opaque in one coat but I decided to go with two since that’s what I used for the previous swatches.  Again I did not use a base or top coat with these. I did experiment with it and tried using it over OPI Nail Envy and had no issues with streaking or patching (but the key is the base coat should be fully dry!). It’s been a full days wear and I have no chips or sign of wear, this is without top coat!

Comparisons:

Sally Hansen Leaden Lilac vs Purple Alloy and Essie Blue RhapsodyEssie Blue Rhapsody, SH Leaden Lilac, SH Purple Alloy

When you compare Leaden Lilac to Purple Alloy you can see the LL is much more blue toned and PA is a true purple. If you were debating getting both, sorry they’re not the same (or similar!).  Leaden Liac is more similar to Essie Blue Rhapsody but more purple toned, and more reflective.

Overall: I really like this collection and just love these colors!

Price: I’ve seen these starting to go on clearance so I’m not sure what the current price is but I would definitely grab these before they’re gone!
