My Nail Station…

My nail station has long been in need of a reorganization, but I’m lazy lol.  However, over this past weekend/week I finally sat down and organized everything in my stash and reswatching all my 563 of my polishes.

 my setup
 the essentials
(that’s alcohol and acetone in the containers)
 desk drawer #1:
treatments, top coats, base coats…
 desk drawer #2:
chemicals!
(acetone, cuticle remover, alcohol, monomer/acrylic power, suspension base and febreeze)
 nail stickers
nail art pens and tip guides
stamping plates, sponges and random things (lol)
 random nail art supplies
(decorative scissors, heart punch, sharpies and page reinforcers/half moon guides)
 the “fake” drawer
(tip extensions, glues, wraps..)
art palettes, nail wheels and tape
 files and clippers
Helmer #1:
 China Glaze #1
 China Glaze #2
 Orly and Layla
 Sally Hansen
 Kleancolor and Color Club
 Jessica and Essie
Helmer #2:
Gelish, Butter London, Facebook, Nfu-Oh, Sephora, Julep, Nubar, Deborah Lippmann, OPI (Nicole, OPI and Sephora), Nails Inc.
 L’Oreal, Revlon, FingerPaints, Elf, WnW
nail polish (a no name brand), stripers, Cherimoya, Claires, Rimmel, Scandal, Savvy, NYC, Maybelline, Hard Candy, Milani
Nail Rock, American Apparel, Nailene, Avon, Pixi, Sinful Colors, Spoiled, ColourGossip, Bon Bon, Konad, Sally Girl, Indies (Ninja Polish, Hit Polish, Darling Diva, Above the Curve, Glitter me This, AbsoltueLacquer and gLORIous)
 Pure Ice
Kiss and Julie G (I have the whole Gumdrops collection coming soon)
 nail art supplies
(nail foils, decals, rhinestones, etc…)
 flocking powder and glitter
(I stored the upside down to easily see the colors)
 acrylic paints
franken and jewelry supplies
So there you have it, my entire nail stash!
How did I swatch my colors? I dipped the end of a nail art brush into the polish and dabbed it on the top of each lid then wiped off the end of the brush . This has made it so much easier to see what colors I have as soon as I open a drawer. My previous method was to swatch on nail wheels but since there wasn’t space to write on them, they went unlabeled (yea very bad system lol).

This looks like HEAVEN. And your swatching system is so clever, I will definitely be stealing that idea! 🙂
