Muppets World Tour Birthday Bash…

We recently went to our friend’s daughter’s 1st birthday party and nothing says birthday like some bling! Luckily, I had just purchased one of the new colors from the OPI Muppets collection, Muppets World Tour, during a Sally’s haul and I thought it would make the perfect base to this birthday mani.

I’ve been wanting to try out this new stamping technique I’ve been seeing and thought this would be the perfect time to try it.  I used BM-H20 image plate and Orly French Tip White Tips for the stamp, then painted over it using neon acrylic paints. My original idea was to use the painted side face up but after seeing the cool effect left on the other side I loved it so much more…

The white stamp gives a pastel effect to the neon colors and gives it a more finished, or “polished” 😉 , look. I also love how the paints show through in the negative space giving contrast to the pastel stamp.
