Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! Today I have swatches and a nail art using the new Sally Hansen The Digital Overload collection, and let me just say it’s a gorgeous collection!

Sally Hansen The Digital Overload Collection-004Stilettos & Studs* is a charcoal black crelly with a shimmer finish, goes on thin and needs 2-3 coats to be opaque.

Mötley Hue* is a berry crelly that goes on thin and needs at least 2 coats for full opaque coverage.

Digi-Teal is a sky blue creme that is opaque in 2 coats.

*from the Glam Rock collection

Sally Hansen The Digital Overload Collection-005Gigabryte is a bright sunshine creme, opaque in 2 coats.

Let’s Get Digital* is a sheer (almost translucent) baby blue with lots of pink shimmer, this is a topper and will not build up to opaque.

* left is 2 coats alone, right is 2 coats over Digi-Teal.

Sally Hansen The Digital Overload Collection-006Comparison of Sinful Colors Cinderella vs Let’s Get Digital

(Left) SC Cinderella is a milky sky blue with pink shimmer (2 coats alone) vs Let’s Get Digital which is a clear sky blue with pink shimmer (2 coats alone)

(Right) Swatch is the same but over Digi-Teal.

I personally prefer Let’s Get Digital over Cinderella because of the translucent base, making it more versatile to wear over a variety of colors.

Sally Hansen The Digital Overload Collection-007(L to R)

OPI Spare Me a French Quarter, SH Mötley Hue, OPI The Berry Thought of You.

OPI SMaFQ and SH MH are very close in color, except SH MH has a crelly finish where OPI SMaFQ is a creme.

Sally Hansen The Digital Overload Collection Sally Hansen The Digital Overload Collection-003 Sally Hansen The Digital Overload Collection-002 Sally Hansen The Digital Overload Collection-001I used Digi-Teal, Mötley Hue, Gigabryte, and Stilettos & Studs to create this watermarble then I used Let’s Get Digital with the waterspotting technique to give it a subtle shimmer. These colors marbled beautifully and held they;re color very well (no base color used).

I bought let’s get digital the other day and I wish it was specified a bit better that this should be used as a topper. I was kind of disappointed when I put it on and realized there was barely any pigment. I’m new to this whole nail painting thing ( chronic biter, topped about 4 weeks ago). Do you know of you can also use these over regular polish, I don’t have any other miracle gel ones right now?
