Balls, Balls Everywhere!….

So if you follow me on Facebook you’ll remember I posted [this] pic yesterday of the Nail Rock nail caviar set. I’m not into the whole caviar thing but the colors looked pretty and I thought I’d give it a try….

Of course I get this crazy idea to use individual beads to make pretty flowers surrounded in silver. Sounded great in my head, then I started doing it and…

so yea, fun times! Don’t think I’ll be doing this again anytime soon.

I was also really unhappy with this product, as you’ll see below if you apply it the traditional way (paint your nail then dip it into the beads) they don’t fully cover the nail leaving some bald patches =(. And then there’s the major issue of bleeding! Once you topcoat them( which is necessary to keep them on longer than 2  seconds) the colors bleed immediately. The blue didn’t bleed as bad, the gold was bad but the pink was just horrible. The pink ones bleed so bad it makes these impossible to wear.

The silver is Savvy Chrome.

And if you were wondering about removal, they remove very easily. I used [this] method which removed the topcoat and softened the base coat allowing me to gently scrape them off using my nail.

I’m not so into caviar nails (just like you), but you’re right. These designs really look very nice! Good job! 🙂

  3. Helloooo! I discovered transparent beads, so you can make a design with nail polish and then cover it with transparent beads so the final design appears!!
