Moving out to Cali...

Sorry I haven't been posting lately, my husband was offered a huge job opportunity so we are in the process of moving out to California! I've been going crazy trying to get things in order because we leave at the end of the month!! I've lived in South Florida all my life so this is going to be a huge change for me but I'm looking forward to the beautiful weather out there(I've been waiting days to take these pics because it's been raining).

But I couldn't resist doing a celebratory California mani, so here you go...

When I walked out into the living room this morning there was this bright ray of sunlight shinning into the room and I couldn't resist capturing the beauty of these rainbows.

Stamped with WnW Black Creme using Mash image plate 28 and then I lined the tips...

I can't say enough how much I love holo( I used Layla Coral Glam and Retro Pink) and this mani just came out gorgeous! I'm going to try and get up early enough to catch another ray of sunlight and take more pics!

I'm planning to post my mother's day haul soon (tease: I got 24 Kleancolors!!) but after that I won't be able to post much because I have to ship my polish out there so I'll have to wait until I get them back to be able to do my nails again =(

Adding Length to Your Natural Nail...

I recently had some bad luck with my nails and almost all of them started breaking off (and those that didn't break I had to file down).  I had spent to much time and energy in growing my nails out that once they broke off I decided to go with an instant fix and add tip extensions to get the length I wanted.

For many years I used to get acrylics done, both in a salon and DIY, and they destroyed my nails! So once I got into doing gel polish I got the idea to use the gel polish in place of acrylics and I loved the results. Not only did my nails hold up like acrylics would(no breaking) but after removal there was no damage to my nail!

Here's the tutorial, I hope you enjoy!

Check back in a few weeks for an update video on how to deal with refills(I also plan on doing a video on how to remove). =)

Holo gradient with a stamp....

I entered another nail art contest! This one was for Bundle Monster....

Can you tell I really liked these nails??!! I got a little camera happy( lol) but they are so pretty!!
I used Layla Holos: Retro Pink, Ultra Violet, Mermaid Spell, and Ocean Rush and stamped with WnW Black Creme using BM211 image plate.

If you like this design as much as I do please for vote me! Voting is from May 7-12 and winner receives the new set of BM plates!

And in case you're wondering, no my nails didn't magically grow overnight. I added tip extension and gel polish(in place of acrylic) and if you would like to know how I did them stay tuned for another video tutorial =).

Recent Haul...

I was so disappointed with Sand Art. While in my head I knew the beautiful design in the bottle would never translate to the nail a part of me still hoped it would happen lol. I have a feeling it may be just 5 colors in one bottle, meaning once you use up the top color it will change to the next color and so on. Mine has a nice glitter effect but looking at the other bottles the glitter did not look consistent. It does have a label that reads "DO NOT SHAKE" on the top, but of course people do so finding one still intacted is hard.

Glitter Teal is part of their Starstruck collection and this color is beautiful! It's a sheer shimmery teal that's perfect on it's own but I think it would also look great layered over other colors.

Ring a Ding is a pink, copper/bronze, and gold hex glitter in clear base polish. I'm not really a fan of these glitters, but I keep buying them lol.

A Day at the Beach...

I recently entered My Lacquer Family's "Summer Lovin" nail art contest and this was my entry.

First here's the inspiration..

Since my nails were so short I used full nail extensions for the contest so that I could fit the design on my nails.

I used Layla Mercury Twilight for the umbrella but sadly its been raining(and still is) so I didn't get to capture the holo goodness =(

just for fun =)

If you like my nails please click "like" to vote for them! Voting ends next Tuesday. Thanks!! =)
