French Manicure...
I was recently asked to do French manicured nails for a prom so I've been practicing all week. I've been playing with what colors look best and what's the best method to use and all this practicing got me thinking I should do another tutorial. Here are my results (followed by the video)....

Un-Birthday present and Haul....
While I was at my friend's baby shower she gave me my birthday present (yes, birthday...we don't get to see each other often)full of nail goodies!
My recent Sally's haul. My cousin asked me to do his prom dates nails and she wanted a French mani, but I didn't have the colors to do it so I had to go shopping ;).
(oops I forget to put in the cuticle remover)

Monkeying Around....
This weekend I went to a friend's baby shower (her due date is 2 days after my first son's birthday, which was also his due date) and I thought the invitations were so cute I had to recreate it for the shower....
I used a matte top coat over the dotted nails to mimic the paper and after I took these pics I added to matte top coat to the monkey nail but it smeared the face a little. =(

Neon Watercolor Nails...
Awhile back I did watercolor nails to match my dress (It's a Match) and someone had requested I do a tutorial showing how I created them. Well I finally found some time to do it and this is how they turned out...
Here is the tutorial...
Can I just say that I LOVE neon polish! I was never a fan until I bought ChG Flip Flop Fantasy and then I had to own more colors. They're so bright and fun!
I found out that I can photograph the brightness of the neon better in the shade, who knew?!
Then I wanted to make them even more spring-y so I added a flower stamp (BM205 and WnW Black Creme)...

Blog Restored...
It's taken awhile but all (well most, some pictures I deleted because I thought I didn't need them anymore-I even had to delete one post entirely) of my pictures have been restored. My lesson has been learned to not delete albums from Picasa anymore because I never want to go through this experience again!

My First Video Tutorial...
For my first video I wanted to show how to add strength to your natural nail without having to get an acrylic or gel overlay. As you know I've tried many treatment polishes and while I've had success with some of them, they only work when they on the nail. Unfortunately the first shower after doing my nails causes my polish to peel off in sheets, which is fine because I redo my nails several times a week anyways so it saves me the time of removing it lol. But because my nails are now naked they become vulnerable to breakage since they are unprotected.
Now for the video...
Hope you enjoyed the tutorial! If you would like to see me do more just let me know(and tell me what you would like to see).=)

Weekend Haul...
I had a couple of coupons for some Kiss Nail Dress stickers and this is what I left with...
So it wasn't until I was writing the names of the swatches that I realized I rebought WnW Dreamy Poppy( the one on the end in the top row) that's why I am missing a swatch.
Rain Check is a blue-lavender frost (much prettier in the bottle sadly).
Burgundy Frost is a gorgeous crimson shimmer. In the bottle the shimmer looks like its gold, but on the nail the gold doesn't show up.
Lavender Creme is a pretty pink creme. It is a true pink so I have no idea where WnW comes up with their names.
Multi-Faceted is a mix of beautiful hex glitter. It has black, silver, green, blue, orange/gold. The colored glitter seems to have a color shifting property that makes this so stunning!
I finally have it! Essie French Affair is the perfect opaque pale pink creme, it has a slight purple undertone so it's a very 'cool' color.

Blog Down...
I accidently deleted an album off Picasa not realizing it was connected to my blog. Since that album was deleted I lost all of the images on my blog and it will take me a while to go through each post and reupload all of them. So sorry =(

Happy Easter..
I am super pleased with how my Easter nails came out! I have tried doing gradients with a makeup sponge in the past and the results were horrible ( I think my problem was not letting the base coat dry) but then I found this really great tutorial by Laynie over at Layniefingers and I had to give it another try. Her tutorial allows you to get the most perfect airbrushed gradient nails, just awesomeness!
But to make my Easter nails more Easter-y I added a fuzzy bunny. Yes you heard FUZZY bunny! I used white flocking powder (like Jen at The PolishAholic did a while ago) to make an adorable little bunny. And it's soft!

Easter Water Marble With a Bonus Peep Bunny...
Nothing says Easter like a Peep® and Peeps® always remind me of my Grandmother because she LOVES them. Every year I always get her a package, but due to health issues I am unable to visit her this year. Since I cant give her Peeps® this year I thought there was no better way to celebrate the holiday then to put one on my nails =)
Neon Haul!...
After wearing ChG Flip Flop Fantasy (on my toes) I realized I needed more neons in my life and with Sally's dooing the B2G1 deal how could I pass them up?!
I was hoping Sally Girl Spank would be a dupe of Essie French Affair but sadly it's not. Spank is a opaque muted lilac pink, but not what I was looking for so I had to buy French Affair off Amazon.

Hippity, Hoppoty Easter's on It's Way..
I hope to do several Easter manis this week, starting with this bunny one. I got the inspiration for this from the wonderfully amazing Robin Moses, I did a modified version of Easter rabbit basket and eggs for the grass and a happy version of Emo bunny.
And just because it's awesome, I give you Darth Bunny....

No Joke April Fool's Day Haul.....
April must be the month for great sales, Walgreens has all regularly priced $.99 Wet 'n Wild items on sale for $.69 (yes $.69, all month long!), and Sally's has all nail polish buy 2 get 1 free(mix and match)! Plus I got my gallon of acetone on sale for $9.99. Release your wallets and go shopping!!
Sinful Colors Let's Meet is a beautiful yellow with subtle shimmer, it's bright but not neon.
The next several colors are all Wet 'n Wild...
Sunny Side Up is a nice orange creme, I don't think I've seen another color like this.
Casting Call/Rose Sage is a mauve rose color. The picture didn't really capture this color because it's not that red IRL.
Kaleidoscope is a really pretty holo glitter top coat. The glitter isn't as big as ChG Techno, so if you have Techno you still need this ;)
Carribbean Frost is a gorgeous teal shimmer. Even though it has the word frost in the name don't be fooled, it's not frosty just beautiful.
Eggplant Frost has a purple base that shifts to blue. Again no frost here it's just an awesome purple.
I was slightly disappointed with Blue Moon because in the bottle it looks like a stunning blue, green douchrome, but once a swatched it, its more a very pretty navy with a hint of green/teal and green shimmer.
Dreamy Poppy is a pretty coral, pink, peach. It's a great summer color!
**I was taking pics of my new haul and discovered you can see neon colors better indoors under natural light(photo taken by the window). So here's a better pic of Flip Flop Fantasy and Purple Panic. Note the colors are accurate but they are so much brighter in person.**
China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy is so bright it's crazy! It's very hard to photography because it confuses the camera with it's brightness lol. I would describe it as a neon peach/pink ( I think this will be my next pedi!)
Purple Panic is very misnamed because it is not purple, it's fuchsia. Whatever you call it, this color is awesome! It is insanely bright and great for summer!
Orly Blue Collar is a great light blue creme, very pretty!
Hope you enjoyed and happy hauling!
