China Glaze Holiday Joy 2012 Collection: Part 1…

I have so many great colors to show you today so let’s just get to the pics!
China Glaze 2012 Holiday Joy Collection…

Merry Berry is a red-purple creme. Goes on even in 1 coat and is fully opaque in 2 coats.

Here is Merry Berry vs Essie Skirting the Issue
While they are very similar in color the main difference is the finish. Merry Berry is a creme, after 2 coats there in no VNL(visible nail line) whereas Skirting the Issue is a crelly so even after 2 coats you can still see VNL.

With Love is an orange based red creme. Again it goes on even in 1 coat and 2 coats make it fully opaque.

Red Satin is a blue based red. This is very similar to With Love however With Love would work best on someone with a  warm skintone and this one would work best on someone with a cool skintone (you don’t need both). This is also opaque in 2 coats.
Here is my red creme comparisons. Out of these Velvet Fantasy is my favorite.

Cranberry Splash is a gorgeous red shimmer, this base color is very close to With Love but with shimmer (which makes it glow!).

Red shimmer comparison. While these may look similar in the bottle they are all different ( and you need them all!!! 😉 ).

Pure Joy has red micro and gold glitter in a clear base. To achieve full opaque coverage took 3 coats. This color is the same as Love Marilyn except gold instead of silver glitter.

Blue Bells Ring is a stunning blue foil. I’m not a fan of blues but this one is just beautiful, it’s bright and glowy perfect for winter! This color is opaque in one coat but to make the color more intense I recommend 2 coats.

Overall: I love this collection. The colors are very easy to work with, they all have great formulas (the cremes are on the thin side but still very easy to work with). Most color only need 2 coats to reach full opacity (the glitter took 3).

Price: You can buy these colors individually for $4.25 or prepackaged in adorable giftsets starting at $7 to $17.50 depending on how many colors are in the set at Stixie.com

Pure Joy looks just like Milani’s “Red Sparkle” but you need tons of coats for it to be opaque.
