Essie Stylenomics…

Press Sample

Are you ready for Fall yet??? I am! Although this will be my first year ever experiencing Fall, since we don’t have “seasons” in Florida (Florida seasons go like this: hot, disgustingly hot, hot, kinda hot.. lol). So I’m looking forward to participating in this season everyone calls Fall 😉

Today I have swatches of the new Essie Stylenomics collection..

Miss Fancy Pants
Miss Fancy Pants is an opaque beige with a hint of grey. The formula was very nice and it applied smooth and even, it was pretty much opaque in 1 coat but 2 coats makes it even and completely opaque.
Don’t Sweater It
Don’t Sweater It is a darker more brown version of Miss Fancy Pants. Again this a an opaque creme that applied very smooth and even.
Recessionista..
Recessionista is a deep purple creme with a red base. This one seemed a bit thicker but still applied nicely, however it did need 2 coats to make it opaque and even.
Head Mistress..
Head Mistress is a beautiful candy apple red. This one applied amazingly and was opaque in 2 coats. If you are fair to light, like me, then this is a must have red! I’m not a red fan but just like having that perfect red lipstick everyone needs that perfect red polish and for me this one is it!

Skirting The Issue
Skirting The Issue is a blood red crelly (creme+ jelly). This was a tricky one to apply, some parts of the nail would look sheer while other parts would be opaque. It took 3 coats for the color to become opaque and even. Was not a fan of this color.
Stylenomics...
Stylenomics is a deep forest green creme. This is a pretty green but if you apply it too thick it’s one of those colors that can be mistaken for black. The formula on this one was great and 2 coats made it opaque and even.

Overall: This collection is really nice and great for Fall. All of them, with the exception of Skirting The Issue applied smooth, even and were opaque in 2 coats. The formula on these is great, not too thin but not thick and goopy. And they are super shiny! For some of them it was hard to pick a good picture because the reflection of the background was so strong, but I’m not complaining. =)

  1. No, I’m NOT ready for fall 🙁 But I like the way these polishes shine. Color-wise I see nothing that makes me think: yay a new shade, so I’m probably not going to get any of these…
    Thanks for good swatches!
